Bio

Tom Reese is an independent photographer and editor specializing in environmental storytelling. His work as a photojournalist for 19 years on the staff of The Seattle Times was nominated for Pulitzer Prizes in breaking news photography, feature photography, and explanatory reporting, and has earned honors from World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year International, Best of Photojournalism, the Associated Press, the United Nations Association and International Conservation Photography Awards. His photographs have been represented by the Seattle Art Museum Gallery and exhibited in San Francisco, London, and the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture in Seattle. His book, “Once and Future River: Reclaiming the Duwamish” will be published by the University of Washington Press in early 2016.
